PostSubject: question on liners and bedding.   Sat Sep 21, 2013 3:56 pm

Would it be possible to get a liner made from cotton material rather than fleece do you think. And also, does anyone still make cubes, but with cotton material?
Thinking on Ody's refusal to sleep in his bed, and sleeping outside on his liner. He has a liner made from wipe cleanm table cloth material, but i don't think this will keep him comfortable and warm. He does have a CHE on his viv, but I just worry about any draughts or anything while he's lying outside. Would feel more comfortable if he had a soft liner to sleep on, even if he won't go in his igloo. Plus I wondered if it was maybe worth me buying a new cube for him to see if he'll sleep in it, since he only appears to like one cube that he has.
thanks loads

forgot to mention that he has the ramp in his viv, so would eithr need to cut a piece out of it myself and then sew it up, or give measurements for that. Being Ody he doesn't do easy. Smile
I'm rubbish at sewing and whatnot, so would be worried if I did it it would have exposed threads and whatnot.

forgot to mention, Ody hates fleece, which is why I'm asking about cotton. My only other thought is of getting a fleece liner and somehow covering it with a cotton material, so I have padding and warmth, but he can't feel the fleece.

oo, thankyou. Didn't realise Sheila did them. Smile x
DOes anyone still make cubes? I've tried pieces of cotton and his duvet but he doesn't seem to like those, so wondering if another cube but without any fleece on it, as the other two have might work. He doesn't like to be enclosed, so will not sleep in a hedgiebag, strange little boy that he is.

Can you not turn the cubes inside out? So the fleece is on the outside with cotton inside. Or do you want them completely fleece free?

Did that and tried both, but he's just refusing to sleep in the. Seems he's finally gone to sleep on the little cotton mat I put in his igloo, and his duvet arched over the ceiling. Not sure for how long. I usually squish the igloo down for the bottom and arch the duvet over the top, but last night he was absolutely refusing to sleep in there.

He's got the castle igloo. Could try cotton or tissue strips maybe, thanks Tayer. I think he's just a grump. He hates being enclosed in anything. I think I have a claustrophobic hedgehog! Smile

Have you tried asking Fiona from Fiona Hedgepods? She is making me a custom cube type thing for Padfoot because I wanted Harry Potter themed hehe, but she is doing the outer layer in cotton to transfer an image onto it for me - might be worth a try? xx
