Cone Snail

One drop of venom from this little bugger is enough to end 20 human lives. Sometimes colloquially known as the “cigarette snail,” it has been said that when you are stung by this creature, you’ll have just about enough time to smoke a cigaret before you stop breathing. It’s not like it matters anyway though…there is no antivenom.

Watched a programme on TV last night - was just flicking through - about animal bites - flipping heck, two blokes dealt with deadly snakes, one got bit by a taipan on the worst day ever 9/11 - he was rushed to hospital by the anti venom unit who could only try and stabilise him with standard anti venom - they had to get special permission for a private plane to fly to another state and get the proper anti venom - that in itself was a mean feat as all planes were grounded - his blood was pouring from every orifice and was no longer recogniseable as human blood - he made a full recovery!
